Previewing Definition

            Previewing reading is a reading technique to get extensive information and some material in reading. The information contained in the content is what the title of the book is, who is the author of the book and the predictions in the book.

            The purpose of previewing is to give us the ability to increase reading speed and can be used in skimming. In addition, the purpose of previewing is to find out about what we are reading without having to read the whole thing.

•  How to preview :

1. Read the title of the book that will be previewed

2. Viewing pictures

3. Read the main sentence in each paragraph

4. Read the conclusion

5. Pay attention to names, dates, places of numbers etc

Predicting Definition

          Predicting is the ability to grieve or predict what is contained in a book by utilizing existing clues. Predicting is also commonly referred to as the reading skill of someone who has awareness and vigilance in thinking.

            The purpose of predicting is predicting what will come logically and culturally before reading a book. And improve strategies for understanding a reading.

• How to predict :

1. Make use of grammatical and realistic instructions

2. Reading abstracts. Read the abstract first, usually on the back cover of the book.

3. Make points from what has been read from predictions

            The advantage of previewing and predicting is that we can guess whether the text or narrative that we have is in accordance with what we want.
