This course contains material that can be used to obtain information or describe information related to articles, journals, or English books.

1. Scanning
Speed ​​reading is a way to find information without reading the whole , but we only need to find the key (key word).
Its use in everyday life

2. Previewing and Predicting
Previewing and predicting is a reading technique by predicting or predicting a text to get extensive information and some material in reading.
The advantage of previewing and predicting is that we can guess whether the text or narrative that we have is in accordance with what we want.

Topic is used as the basis for the subject as a basis in a book.

Skimming is a speed reading technique by reading only the important points in the text, and ignoring punctuation marks. The discussion includes:

5. Topic and Topic Sentence of Narrative Text
The Topic Sentence is the main sentence at the beginning of the paragraph which is still in the form of a general sentence and will be discussed in more detail by the sentence explainer.
Narrative text in general is a text about a story that presents events based on the sequence of stories. The event can be an imaginary story or a true story.
Narrative texts generally aim to entertain readers, besides that, narrative texts also aim to add information and broaden their horizons. Even though the stories presented are fiction or just fantasy.

6. Descriptive text
Descriptive text is text that describes or describes a specific object. Descriptive text can contain objects, animals, places, people, etc.

7. Comparison and Contrast
Comparison  is an activity to compare something similar. Compare usually shows more similarities between two objects.
Contrast  is an activity to compare two objects. Contrast focuses on the differences between two objects rather than the similarities between the two objects.
The difference between the two is if compare to compare but still look similar. Meanwhile, contrast focuses on specific comparisons.

8. Biography
A biography is a text that contains a person's journey. The purpose of the biography text is that it is hoped that the reader can make the advantages of the character an example for many people. Discussion of the biography text includes:
1. Biography text features
2. biography text type
3. structure of biography text
4. language rules
